CDS 無事に終わりました～

Yossi & Rika's CDS with Sharan Q just ended.
As expected, there is no ishiyoshi lovexlove. A little surprise though that Abe is the secret special guest, but not everyone is happy; especially fans who bought tickets just to see ishiyoshi. The reason is simple because Abe's sudden inclusion takes away Yossi & Rika solo time.
There will be another show on the 23rd. Any guesses for whom will be the special guest?

Yossi & Rika's CDS with Sharan Q is on tonight. I am looking forward to it, though the pair is always all prim and proper when put officially together. So don't expect much.

Just 1444

Ishiyoshi netas I had come across this year. They're too short to be a standalone topic so I'll just list them out. Sources come from their concert MCs, radio shows, tv shows and from EGG's blogs. Some infos were further corroborated with fan's sightings of them in restaurants they had visited, however, you can choose not to believe it.

* Rika and Yossi had lunch in Osaka (with staffs tagging along).
* They had motsu nabe with Kemeko in Osaka.
* Rika was spotted in Yossi's gakuya (Nagoya concert).
* Rika was spotted in Yossi's gakuya (Osaka concert).
* Yossi went to watch Rika's performance (Double casting musical).
* Yossi, Rika and Maichin watched a soccer match in a hotel room.
* Rika, Yossi, Yaguchi and Yasuda went for an 8-hour drinking session.
* Rika and Yossi appeared for EGG's (concert) rehearsal to give advice. (*see below)
* On the day Ongaku Gatas filmed their PV (first single), they went out for lunch with Konno.
* Karaoke session with Maichin (the latter arriving late).
* They had okonomiyaki with Maichin in Osaka.
* They sent an picture email showing their 'dresses' to Kemeko during their CDS because they were wearing a dress Kemeko once wore for her CDS.
* They went to Kemeko house.

Also: Yossi was always around Rika during Gatas's public practice. Although they weren't always chatting, fans said Yossi would be near where Rika was. Example, during one public practice, Yossi had been sitting at a particular bench for 'eternity' until Rika appeared during the second half. Yossi then stood up and walked, almost casually, to Rika's side, but they didn't talk and Yossi just stood next to Rika (who was seated). In the famous 'ice-attack', Yossi shoved a ice packet down Rika's jersey that made Rika shriek out loud. Another time, Yossi did a monomane of a cheering squad, marching and whistling. Inspired, Rika took over the whistle and copied Yossi. (Did your head scream 'indirect kissing'!! There's more...) Remember the time when the Gatas members were official for some matches? As it was her turn after Yossi, Rika just took the whistle from Yossi and began blowing on it.

Fans also noticed that unlike what was portrayed on TV, Yossi and Miki seldom interacted during those practises. And during July's public practice - the time when the whole world already knew Miki was dating Shouji - fans said they could see the other members 'ostracizing' Miki. Even the crowd went 'shin~~~' (quiet) after Miki had made her speech. That's how bad a scandal can affect your popularity. And if you were to guess who was the most popular Gatas member, will it be Yossi or Rika or Konno? Wrong. It is Satoda~ Yeah Maichin!

* an EGG said Rika and Yossi were there to give them advice for mr.moonlight. She thought Rika-senpai had taught them alot, but when it was Yossi-senpai's turn, Yossi just told them to forget whatever Rika had said. (LOL)

* Yossi talks about OG taking centrestage for both their performances in FNS and Best Artist with current MM supporting.

* Gatas had their first in-house training with new members from 7 Dec to 10 Dec during which there were people who cried, people who don't think much and people who got angry. When the crowd went 'woo', Yossi told them to discern for themselves who had gotten angry and they laughed. (My guess is either Miki or Rika.)

* During Rika, Konno, Yaguchi and Yossi's first rehearsal for their Elder concert, Yaguchi was complaining she was out of breath most of the time.

* Yossi: "I noticed how magazines nowadays come with fantastic gifts. Recently Rika-chan bought one magazine that gave an orange panty as gift. Rika-chan later gave the 'sugesuge' panty to Keichan and she asked why she would always get panties as gifts...

(I wonder if the panty talk or the mere mention of 'Rika-chan' excites me more.)

For Haru-chan, and also because this is quite an informative episode.

Question: 'Tsunku's words that had left the most impression in you.' Yossi said Tsunku had advised her not to wear platform shoes. Those shoes were the craze back then and had soles as high as 12cm which made her tower over Tsunku when they were in the recording studio. For Rika, Tsunku had told her recently that she was a good student (disciple). She mentioned she often emails Tsunku for advice, and it's her idea to turn blonde for her bunny-girl image in 'Aisu to purin'.

Second question asked them to reveal a 'secret' . Yossi said she actually likes PINK. Shokotan went 'ohh~' and was pretty surprised since she thought Yossi is a cool person. Yossi explained that although she likes black and white (which are the cool colours), when she was a kid she actually liked PINK. Now she still wears pink, like t-shirts, and her pouch is pink. Rika said although Yossi was boyish-looking when they just debuted, she was, in fact, girlish. Shokotan was impressed. When it was Rika's turn, she said she is actually a HAROPORO otaku at heart, and into 'Berryz Cute' right now. She finds the kids very 'kawaii'. She didn't forget to mention that last time the kids used to be 'in awe' of her as a senpai but nowadays they, too, have started making fun of her, calling her 'kimoi' or 'kishoi', which she finds amusing. She is close to Chisato. Yossi then mentioned Momo-chan and Rika are of the same (onaji niou ga suru, which literally translates 'they smell the same').

I skip Konno's parts because I aren't interested in her stuffs. Anyway they also talked about some random stuffs, like...

* Tsunku does have a say in their hairstyle. He'll 'advise' if a particular style suits them.
* Tsunku choreographed the dance for 'sexy boy soyokaze ni yorisotte'. (ue~ ue~)
* Shokotan became very impressed when Yossi said she only uses normal ringing tone (no frills).
* Konno said Rika is 'KY' and definitely not 'Y'asuda 'K'ei like Yossi had said.
* Rika is into Akina Nakamori now. Before she would only listen to songs by H!P members but recently she realized Akina's songs are really good. However she couldn't remember the lyrics to her newer songs. Her current ring tone is 'Desire'. Yossi said Rika would let her phone ring when someone called so that she could hear the melody but Yossi thinks it is very rude to let the caller wait. Check video.

Although Yossi seldom talks much about other members, she seems to know alot about Rika whenever she is talking about her. Example she knows Rika is close to h!p kids. When Rika says Akina's songs are nice she agrees and says songs Akina sang in her early twenties are really good. She sings 'masaka saa~' together when Rika sings out her ring tone, implying she must have heard it many times. She keeps making fun at Rika saying the latter is similar to Yasuda Kei, maybe they shared a joke between them (remember the two of them had recently gone to Kei's place?) So much interaction from both of them. One is ultra cool, while the other is uber cute. I so love them~

Gatten Gatas 2007-12-10

No Yossi nor Ishiyoshi neta, but Rika is so cute in this episode I just have to mention her. I like how she went 'way~ way~ way~' two times in the show (13:00 & 16:17); so cute and so unlike her. Even Maichin said so. Then around 25:11, Rika must have put on a really funny face because Maichin suddenly said she hoped the listeners could see Rika's 'sugoi ossan kusai' face now. Well, I can so imagine it.

Now, did you realize how Rika was often tagged 'ossan' by h!p members? And she has showed 'uncle'ly' traits herself, like what Ayaya had accused her of (in a H!M episode) and how she called herself a Berry Cute otaku (Ongaku Gatas on Yumereji 2007-09-18), so beneath all her womanly image, she is probably just an old uncle in disguise. Besides, she looks the type with an on and off-screen character. I know many fans don't like Rika for what she was portrayed on tv; her uptightness, properness and, sometimes, 'scolding' personality, like her constant preaching of fellow v-u-den members don't really go down well with some h!p fans. But I digress, feeling that she might be a different person off screen; I deduce that from how Yossi and Maichin are constantly making fun of her, therefore, she must be someone who can take jokes. (If you have woman friends who get irascible over the slightest things, you'll know what I'm talking about here.)

She once lost her luggage when she had travelled to Spain for a TV show. So had her manager and her make-up artist's. She was told the next day that their luggage had been sent by mistake to another country. Her manager and the artist had since retrieved their bags though hers was still missing.

These guys seem to be staffs working in TV stations. They were talking about Yossi and Rika being 'rabu rabu' while on the set of Utadoki (CHERRY). The guy on the right said the girls were 'kimochi warui'. He followed up by saying how Yossi and Rika were seated together at one corner and happily chatting away as they waited for the set to be ready. Either he was a crew member or he had heard it from others. He thinks it is 'weird' that both girls are so close to each other. However, another guy explained it could be due to them from the same Gen.

The picture in the previous entry sure shocked the hell out of many people. (haha.) I decided to post it when someone asked why Yossi was never seen chu'ing Rika. Why made the comparisons based on official pictures? When those are (obviously) screened by the management before deemed 'safe' to be released. What's shown explicitly doesn't necessary mean the truth. TV is where the best stuffs are, when the girls let their guard down thinking the camera's not on them, and since the editing crew are from another company, they will have no idea (what to edit). Then truth will be revealed...

Shippers of the other pairing would only notice M-san's hand on Yossi's shoulder though I am only interested in how Yossi had acted subconsciously. (They couldn't cut this scene because the girls are cracking jokes on Makochan.)

The clip of them massaging each other's hands was shown on national tv on 2003-06-29- 27hr charity show, and quickly caused an uproar among Japanese fans. Since the show was shown 'live' making editing impossible, fans were treated to this delectable sight. There is another longer version that zooms in showing Yossi and Rika looking rather awkward and Yossi was seen wiping her palm against her thighs.

In the same year when they were on another show - 24hr tv, a wota made this report:

1. They drank from the same bottle.

2. Yossi sat on the last seat on the left while Rika stood beside her. Yossi then tapped on her thigh to have Rika sit on it. They looked happy. Later, Rika carried a chair to sit beside Yossi. I couldn't see clearly from where I was but I think Yossi had her hand around Rika from behind the chair.

3. They are often around each other, chatting and smiling.

4. Even when Yossi was at the rightmost corner of the first row and Rika at the leftmost corner of the second row, they were still conversing.

5. Yossi kept looking at Rika during their last song.

How does Yossi come to know that? Rika had told her? Or she had gone (shopping) with Rika?

Rika was absent, but that didn't mean Yossi wouldn't talk about her.

Around 5 mins into the clip, when it was Erina's turn to give her thoughts, Yossi cut in and said something quite impertinent. She told Erina 'It's ok since Ishikawa-san is not here today. Just say whatever is on your mind, and not worry about mother-like Ishikawa-san with her 'noisy' and 'no, no!' '

How does Rika come into the picture? I don't know. It's like she mentioned Rika just for the sake of mentioning.

So if Rika was the mother, who was the father?

4min50s into the show, Rika said she had sent her support (pic email) for the Gatas team although she couldn't be there for Gatas vs Cerbies match in Hokkaido. boke Maichin then replied 'I know, Yossi had told me.'

Well, Mai's reply just meant Rika's email was sent to Yossi. yeah~

TIS (22) ~Hello! Project 2007 Winter ~Wonderful Hearts Otome Gocoro~ 3rd & 4th Jan 07

An anthology of ishiyoshi wotas' reports. They wrote in Japanese, I translated them.

* Besides appearing briefly in the opening segment/song and during her v-u-den performance Rika didn't appear again (from both shows on 3rd Jan). She had fallen sick and despite being excused, she had insisted on performing. What a pro~

* When Rika was on stage performing (as v-u-den) one fan noticed Y's silhouette peeping from behind the curtains, perhaps worried for the former's health. Since she was watching from a spot hidden from cameras, and with MM's performance right after v-u-den's, Y was in fact taking a risk as it would take her longer to get into position when MM took centrestage.

* Y's eyes never left Rika, and was singing along during 'kousui'. It is believed that 'kousui' is one of Y's favourite songs.

* Yossi, Rika and Nono were having lots of fun during Berryz/C-ute's performances. On more than one occasion, Rika would crack up after Y had said something and that was despite they had Nono sitting in-between them. At one time, Y stood up to do a monomane, with Nono as her side-kick, and it got Rika laughing out loud. I think that was captured on DVD (see below).

My favourite has to be when Yossi and Rika tsukkomi Mari after the latter had made a mistake while introducing Berryz. Great timing from both of them.
