Reading that, they really do seem to complement each other, huh? It reminds me of Sakuragumi VS Otomegumi talk battle on FUN, one of the hosts said that the two were like fire and water and it would be interesting if they went out together (if they were guy and girl).
Buahaha! I copied and pasted it on the Google language translator.. it made almost no sense at all!! LOL.
Anywaysss.. After using my lousy knowledge with japanese WORDS, spending some quality time with my dictionary and using my dearest mother as my last resort of help, here's my translation.

It doesn't say anything about Rika questioning herself though.. But hey! Rika ADMIRES Yossi~ woooooooooooooooo

I have difficulty with Yossi's
"前のめり加減" and "微妙に引いてますね" too. I think she means Rika has great tolerance for things. 'めり加減 means allowance.' Guess she's praising Rika too.

Kata...sama(!? lol): That picture is lol! It looks like she's staring the left page, the one that's on the bottom and all the way to the right. Yossy wants to see a little of Rika's backside, I'm sure!
But then again, that one in the middle with Rika splayed all over that boogie board is another eye catcher..
I really do think Rika is quite a beautiful girl, somewhat in the traditional conservative sense (if you disregard her clearly created image of 'sexy' for v-u-den)... Maybe Yossy is attracted that aspect?
In respect to how they compliment each other because of their differences, I can understand why. I think it's very comforting when you come into contact with someone that can make you feel 'whole' -- it's just a feeling you don't want to let go of.
But despite them being so outwardly dissimilar, I believe that they are more alike than they let on.
I do think they complement each other too. One thing I love best about them is they are almost scandal-free. Both live their life prim and proper. Rika has a sexy image on stage, and that's about all, in private, she's actually a hikikomori (always indoor)***. And although Yossi is an outdoor person, it's mostly healthy activities like jogging, futsal training, night strolling she's doing. Both are good girls. So~ IMO, if both are gay, they should be together already. ^^
***Takahashi has confirmed that on a radio show. The host asked Rika if she has a boyfriend, Takahashi answered on her behalf saying it's hard for Rika to find one since she seldom goes out. FYI, Rika and Takahashi are quite close. They do hang out in private. There are wota sightings of them shopping in Shibuya some time back. And both their mothers had gone togther to watch Takarazuka shows. So, we can trust what Takahashi says.
That article is really cute! When I did a search on Google for "前のめり加減" your site was on the first page.
"前のめり" Is a saying meaning to lean forward. It came from the action of running and when you stop, you still have that forward momentum that pushes you ahead. In this passage, it means to actively keep pushing forward towards the future(rather than keep turning back to the past).
"引く" Is used quite often but I believe it's slang rather than proper use of the language. It means to draw back(emotionally/physically)from someone/something. Like when Rika says, "I'm so cute, ehe!" then someone like Yossy will be like, "uh...moving away now..." That's the kind of feeling that word represents. What the interviewer said to Yossy, is that it doesn't sound like Yossy means what she's saying about Rika. From how the article was written, it does sound like Hitomi praised Rika in a sarcastic manner, like "yeah, yeah, I'll just say the standard things that would sound complimentary." That's why Rika interjected to tell the interviewer that behind that sarcastic remark, is Yossy who's just covering up her shyness.
